A risk taken.
A battle for his soul.
A chance for…Redemption.
How do you keep going after the one person you always believed you were meant to be with forever gives their heart to someone else?
In the second book of the Pursuit Series, Bryan Roemer is rejected, heartbroken, and lost. After losing his life-long love, Miranda Reid, to Derek Gainnes, he is faced with a new reality that has caused him to abandon love altogether. Meeting Mara – exotic, beautiful, sexy – on the flight back to California provided him with a welcome distraction to take his mind off his pain. Still, his days are a blur, and his nights are spent drowning in memories.
Summoned back east to photograph the wedding of his friends, Nick Flaherty and Carrie Mayer, he reluctantly returns to the one place that he swore he’d never would. Six months away have changed Bryan. And when he arrives, the rest of the Circle find that he hasn’t come alone. Something dark and sinister has come with him. Something that is determined to keep him at all costs.
But waiting there for Bryan is a second chance…one that just might save his life.
Reviews for Redemption:
“The style and voice of this author is out of this world. I’m an avid reader (and author myself) so well written words are definitely a major part of my world. I didn’t want to put the book down. If I had of bought the book earlier in the day I would have finished it in one sitting. I fought off the sleep at midnight and pushed through until 3 a.m., not wanting to, but also not having a choice in the matter. Sleep was inevitable. I woke at 8a.m. and grabbed my kindle with a smile a mile wide. I had to know what happened next! Needless to say, I was not let down. Dull moments are nonexistent in this novel. Angels and demons are more real than ever, and the way the author brings them to life with her words, you will never doubt for a second how real they are. I highly recommend this read. Don’t miss your chance to be pulled into Cassidy and Brian’s unrelenting and impossible world.” – KS Haigwood, author of Save My Soul, Hell’s Gift, Forbidden Touch, and Eternal Island
“Wow! Just wow. LA Kuehlke hit a home run with Redemption. Although it was not YA, which is what I read most, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was seriously hooked since the very beginning, wondering how this Mara chick would play out in Bryan’s story. For a minute… a very short minute, I thought she was worthy of redemption, boy was I wrong!
I haven’t read the first book, Pursuit, so I was somewhat on a loop when it came to stuff from the past, but even then, Kuehlke gave enough information to fill in the blanks and make this story whole. Redemption was one of those ‘un-putable-down’ books! Until I was done, I had to keep on reading! If you are into Paranormal Romance with a hell of a twist, literally, you must read Redemption! I cannot wait for the next one!”- Lucy Swing, author of Feathermore and Fallenmore
“Loved the author’s first book Pursuit and I was not disappointed by this one at all. Kuehlke has an enchanting voice and her work reads beautifully. Redemption focuses on Bryan (who you meet in Pursuit) and picks up where the first book left off. You learn more about the ‘Circle’ and who the players are in the upcoming battle. The book is a suspenseful battle of wills between demons and angels with touching sweet romance between the main characters. You will not be able to put this one down once you start.” – Krystal Shannon, author of Open House, Chasing Sam, A Very Russian Christmas, and Finding Hope“I couldn’t put this book down! I was so thankful that it was available for Kindle because I didn’t have to wait to receive the book in the mail! The character focus from Pursuit to Redemption was seamless! I can’t wait for the next installment!” – Meaghan McElroy
“I was so looking forward to reading Redemption because the first book, Pursuit, was excellent! Redemption was absolutely wonderful. The writing is so good, and the story so fascinating, that it was hard to put the book down. I finished the book in two days and was disappointed that it was over! There are many plot twists that I never could have anticipated. I wondered who would be the one to be redeemed. The suspense was carried throughout the book as interactions between the characters occurred. The words and actions of the angels and demons are very imaginative and makes me wonder how it all really happens in the spiritual world. I can’t wait for the third book!” – Carol Bradbury
“I saw a recommendation for this book on Facebook and it sounded interesting. The fact that it was free that day in the Kindle Store was simply a bonus. I started reading it last week and loved it! Great story, great characters and hard to put down. Others have rated this book as a romance, I thought it was an adventure. I found great encouragement in the angel characters. Found myself wondering what my angel’s name is and what he might look like if he appeared to me. I’ve always found comfort in the knowledge that God’s army is at my side protecting and often guiding me. Here was a story that wove the spiritual characters (good and evil) into every piece of the story. I just didn’t want the story to end.
Despite the fact that I hadn’t read the first book in this series, I didn’t feel at all confused reading the second. There was enough info and background to let Redemption stand alone. When I finished Redemption yesterday I immediately went to the Kindle Store to look for Pursuit (first book in the series) but unfortunately, it isn’t available for Kindle. For the first time since I got my Kindle, I’m ordering an actual book: I can’t wait to read Pursuit and will be anxiously awaiting the release of the next book in the series. Keep them coming LA!” – Dave, Amazon Reader Review
“This book is the 2nd book, following Pursuit. This book followed the first book beautifully. In the first book I was in love with the man (Derek), and in this book I fell in love with Bryan :). I couldn’t put it down. I read and read and read. I love it! I suggest that everyone read this book. The characters are very in depth. There is even a little comedy in this book. The only thing I had an issue with was that the book ENDED!!! Read this book! It’s awesome.” – Melissa Flores
“Redemption by L.A. Kuehlke is a phenomenal book. From page 1 it had me engaged. There was not one point I could put the book down. I read her previous book Pursuit but it had been a few months since I read it and was afraid I would have to reread “Pursuit” to understand what was happening in Redemption. There is enough of a back story in the first chapter that you understand what is happening even if you never read the book. I recommend everyone read this book. If you love romance novels, or even paranormal/science fiction novels, you will be engaged in this book from the first page.” – Megan Siegel
